February 25, 2008

I am pleased to announce that IEEE titles can be searched through the E-Journals link on the E-Resources page or directly from http://www.usc.edu/ejournalsatoz with the help of our e-resource department.

Here are details:

  • IEEE journal title improvements
    • All IEEE titles listed will have links
    • All titles will be in a standard format making normalization easier
    • Conference proceedings titles will be uniquely identified, by year or conference number
  • Links for IEEE titles will be in a standard, consistent format based on the Publication Number
  • IEEE Electronic Library Online, will be re-named, IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL), to match the package name offered by IEEE

February 7, 2008

We’ve listened to your ideas, and have added more night time reference service!

Librarians from the USC Science & Engineering Library will be online Monday ( 7-9 pm, Pacific time) and Wednesday (6-8 pm, Pacific time) to answer your questions in real time chat!

We use a web gateway for chat. It is here: http://www.usc.edu/libraries/services/ask_a_librarian/chat/

Please use your USC email address! We need to know you are really at USC, and someone just playing around with web forms.

Thank you, and hope to chat with you soon!
